Recodification of Gestures in Early Arabic Spoken Discourse Intralingually and Interlingually

This paper explores the symbolic values of gestures in early Arab discourse. The Prophet’s traditions are selected for analysis because they most canonical Islamic texts after Qur’an. analyzes implications as his were related orally before recorded scrolls later. Therefore, we can examine how these semiotic interpreted Arabic script situated oral culture and codified or recodified intralingually, using corpus linguistics techniques. Findings show that cues used by generations should be their original re-codified to later monolingual cross-lingual communication. study contributes understanding role discourse provides insights into different contexts languages.
